Hum a tune
Sample loadedHum on "mmm" or "doo", one note at a time, in a quiet room. Pitch detection runs on your device: nothing is uploaded.
My hums
This browser isn't letting Surilo keep hums on this device (a private window can do that). You can still save each hum as a file from the Play tab.
Every hum you record or upload is kept here, on this device only, with your edits and chords. Tap one to pick up where you left off. Browsers can clear a site's data (Safari does after a week or so without a visit, unless Surilo is on your home screen), so use Save as file for hums you want to keep for good.

About Surilo
Surilo (सुरिलो) is Nepali for tuneful. Hum the tune in your head, and Surilo helps you find its notes, its chords and where to play it. Nothing is generated: every note is one you hummed.
Free for everyone, always. No ads, no account, and your voice never leaves your device.
Scan with eSewa. Any amount helps keep Surilo free; a tip unlocks nothing, and you never have to.

Your notes
Tell the app the beat of your tune, and it writes the rhythm: note values, bars and rests. Tap along to find the BPM.
How to fix notes
Drag a note up or down to fix a flat or sharp note, or tap it and use the buttons. A note far too high or low is usually the right note in the wrong octave: use ▲ Octave or ▼ Octave. Delete a wrong note and the notes next to it fill its gap. Drag a selected note's edges to change its length. Double-click an empty spot to add a note (press and hold on a phone). The grey line is your actual voice. Dashed notes (≈) are best guesses: you hummed between two notes, so the app picked the one that fits the tune. Tap one to check it. Back to my hum throws away every edit.
Note by note
with the chords aboveFix every wrong note in the editor first. The notes as you leave them become the answer key the app is graded against. Then save the hum to the Hum to Notes tests folder in Drive.
1Pick a mood
Hear the same tune feel different. Your notes never change: a mood only changes the chords underneath. Tap ▶ to listen, then Use the one you like.
2Mood for each part
Change mood partway through with a preset, or tap a part to pick its mood. Press and hold a part to use its mood from there to the end.
3Your chords
These are the chords you hear with ▶ With chords and get in the MIDI file. Tap one to hear it and see why it fits.

Your hum is also kept in My hums on the Hum tab. Save hum as file gives you a .wav of your humming that plays anywhere; open it in Surilo with Upload a recording, on any device, to get your notes and chords back.
